You see that? That’s gloating, my friends.

I do find it funny that a cog at Microsoft is taking a dig at Apple while they, “roll out,” an update to their phone OS.

I find this funny because when Apple pushes out an iOS update, I have it installed and running on my device soon after Apple makes it available. (ie later that day) But here I am, going on day three since Mango has been pushed out the gates and I still don’t have it.

For the past two days, I’ve had Windows Phone Connector check for an update periodically. Today, I was over at a friend’s house, and we tried to updated his supported phone to Mango, but no update was found. I even tried to force the update, but we ran into driver issues.

Come to find out, this big Mango day was only for 10% of Windows Phone 7 users, and that it could take weeks before I get the update notification.

Count me as not being a fan of Microsoft’s update process.
